Douglas O. Findlay
Senior Internal Controls Consultant
Douglas Findlay is an investigator and forensic accounting specialist. He has conducted investigations in a variety of diverse fields both domestically and internationally.
Mr. Findlay has performed work for the construction, manufacturing, securities, pharmaceutical and real estate industries as well as Federal, New York State and New York City government agencies. Mr. Findlay has handled investigations of fraud, licensing violations, and divulgence of trade secrets. He has served as an independent Private Sector Inspector General (“IPSIG”) for three major New York City construction firms reporting to the New York City Department of Investigation and the District Attorney, New York. As part of his duties, Mr. Findlay was instrumental in developing Labor Law 220 violations which the U.S. Government used in the prosecution of John Gotti, Jr., a major New York organized crime boss.
Mr. Findlay has performed investigative work for major New York City-based law firms on both civil and criminal cases.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Findlay was the Manager of Internal Audit for ITT Corporation. He was in charge of conducting financial and operational audits of ITT’s operating units in North America, Latin America, and the Far East and Pacific. Additionally, he was responsible for the activities, effectiveness and evaluations of the local internal auditors at the company’s various operating units in those geographic areas.
Mr. Findlay holds a B.S. degree from Boston University and an M.B.A. from New York University.
