Douglas O. Findlay
Douglas Findlay is an investigator and forensic accounting specialist for IMG. He has conducted investigations in a variety of diverse fields both domestically and internationally.
Mr. Findlay has performed work for the construction, manufacturing, securities, and real estate industries as well as New York State and New York City government agencies. Mr. Findlay has handled investigations of fraud, licensing violations, and divulgence of trade secrets. He has served as an Independent Private Sector Inspector General (“IPSIG”) for two major New York City construction firms and for the New York City Department of Investigation. As part of IPSIG duties for the New York City Department of Investigation, Mr. Findlay was instrumental in developing Labor Law 220 violations which the U.S. Government used in the prosecution of John Gotti, Jr.
Prior to his consulting with Investigative Management Group, Mr. Findlay was President of Synchronous Manufacturing Technologies, Inc. (“SMTI”). While at SMTI, Mr. Findlay developed break-through manufacturing concepts and techniques, which resulted in record-breaking turnarounds for their clients.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Findlay was the Manager of Internal Audit for ITT Corporation. He was in charge of conducting financial and operational audits of ITT’s operating units in North America, Latin America, the Far East, and the Pacific. Additionally, he was responsible for the activities and the effectiveness evaluations of the local internal auditors at the company’s various operating units in those geographic locales.
Mr. Findlay holds a B.S. degree from Boston University and an M.B.A. from New York University.
